We have recently noticed, and been informed of, an increase of individuals delaying emergency response by not calling 911 first to report an emergency. Individuals have been calling their associations private security and/or their administration offices to report fires. A fire can more than double in size every minute which is why it is crucial not to delay in calling 911. Every second counts when it comes to saving lives and property. Local security agencies also monitor the paging system and emergency communication channels so they are aware of what is going on at the time of dispatch. We understand the role your private security plays in your communities, however, they do not dispatch emergency services themselves. We are asking everyone to share this post to help spread the information and please remember to call 911 first.
