Penn Forest #2 Camp Cadet

Saturday, June 24th, 2023 & Sunday, June 25th, 2023
Both Days:
9 AM – 3:30 PM
For Ages 10-14

All registered cadets will receive two Cadet tee shirts, safety glasses, gloves, and a helmet. Cadets will be required to wear long pants and closed toed shoes. The camp will go on rain or shine!

In this camp, cadets will learn:
  • Fire Safety
  • Firefighting Gear
  • Fire Apparatus
  • Hose-lines
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Ladder Review
  • Vehicle Rescue
  • CPR Course
  • And More!

Parent/guardian(s) will be required to participate in orientation on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10 AM. Parents are invited after 2 PM on Sunday to see real evolutions of firefighting activities that their children have learned. Certificate presentations and photos with fire apparatus will be at 3 PM on Sunday for those interested in official photos! Doors open at 9 AM as camp activities will start promptly at 9:30 AM.

Rules
  1. Cadets are not permitted in others’ belongings.
  2. Cell phone usage during practicals/evolutions will not be permitted.
  3. Cadets shall follow ALL health and safety regulations.
  4. The Penn Forest Twp. Fire Company #2 is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal items brought to camp. Please leave all valuable items at home.
  5. Cadets will need jeans/long pants and closed-toed shoes/sneakers for both days. Shorts, open-toe shoes, and flip flops will NOT be permitted.
Camp Fee
Camp Fee: $50 per cadet
Payment Method: Cash or Check
Make Checks Payable to: Penn Forest Twp. Fire Company #2
If the cadet is not selected, payment will be returned.

NOTE – Your child can wear a mask if you wish, mask wearing will not be required.

The payment and following forms must be completely filled out for consideration;

  • Media Release Form
  • Health History Form
  • Emergency Contacts Form
  • Short Answer Questions

All required items must be completely submitted via mail or dropped off, in an envelope, at the Penn Forest Fire Co #2 on any Monday or Friday from 6 PM – 7 PM.

NOTE: This camp will have only 24 participants. Only the first 40 applications will be accepted to assist with cadet selection. Cadets who reside in Penn Forest Township will be considered first. Individuals selected for the camp will be notified no later than Friday, April 21st, 2023, via email. Only complete applications will be considered for admission to the camp.
