Junior Firefighter Rudy Johnston, along with other volunteers, will be out this Saturday (4/3/2021) from 9 AM until 12 PM doing a boot drive within the Towamensing Trails entrance off Route 903 (by the teepee and Pope Lane.) On March 25th, we said farewell to Tanker 2236 as she is on her way to her new home in Connecticut. Officers will be flying out to South Dakota in mid-April for final inspection of Tanker 2233 and are expecting delivery shortly after. Mutual aid agreements are in place in the event an incident arises so there is no delay of water within the township during this time.On March 30th, we received the attached photos of Tanker 2233. Engine 2210, Rescue 2255, and Engine 2216 responded to a pole fire on Sassafras Road, Indian Mountain Lakes. District 12 also responded. Engine 2210, Rescue 2255, and fire police remained on-scene until PP&L’s arrival due to the active fire.

Volunteers participated in a demo for a F.A.S.T.  board yesterday evening which assists in rescues of firefighters and patient packaging and extrication. Carbon Districts 16, 17, Luzerne Stations 123, 134, Monroe Station 34 RIT, and Lake Harmony EMS also responded.Rescue 2255, Command 2277, and Engine 2210 with nineteen volunteers assisted Lehighton ALS on Mohawk Trail, Indian Mountain Lakes.

Utility 2279, Tanker 2236, Engine 2210, and Command 2277 with UTV 2278 with twenty-two volunteers responded to a brush fire on Martha Lane. District 12 and Victor 12 also responded. When units returned back to station, volunteers were dispatched to a fire alarm on Clubhouse Drive, Indian Mountain Lakes. Engine 2210, Rescue Engine 2216, Tanker 2236, and Command 2277 responded with District 12.

Engine 2210 and Command 2277 responded to a CO alarm on White Oak Drive, Bear Creek Lakes. District 12 and Lehighton ALS also responded. Earlier in the morning, volunteers were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Moseywood Road, Split Rock. Engine 2210 was cancelled as the unit went responding. Districts 16, 17, and Lake Harmony EMS also responded.

Engine 2210 responded to a working dwelling fire on Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton Borough. Volunteers originally stood by, along with Truck 1321  at Palmerton’s station for any other incidents and then were requested to the scene for manpower. The crew remained on scene for five hours and were also able to rescue two kittens from the residence. Multiple departments from Carbon, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties also responded.
