Engine 2210 responded to a working dwelling fire on Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton Borough. Volunteers originally stood by, along with Truck 1321  at Palmerton’s station for any other incidents and then were requested to the scene for manpower. The crew remained on scene for five hours and were also able to rescue two kittens from the residence. Multiple departments from Carbon, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties also responded.

Engine 2210, Tanker 2236, Rescue 2255, and Command 2277 with twenty volunteers responded to a working structure fire on Route 534, Kidder Township. Volunteers assisted with extinguishment and overhaul upon arrival. Districts 16, 17, and Lake Harmony EMS also responded.

Engine 2216 responded to assist with a tractor trailer fire on Interstate 80, Kidder Township. Volunteers arrived and provided manpower and K-12 saws to assist with extinguishment and overhaul. Engine 2210, Tanker 2236, Command 2277, Engine 2216, and Rescue 2255 with thirty volunteers responded to a dwelling fire on North Shore Drive, Indian Mountain Lakes. Faulty HVAC system was found upon arrival. District 12 and Lehighton BLS also responded.

Township volunteers handled five incidents throughout the recent snowstorm. Rescue 2255 and Utility 2279 with UTV 2278 and eleven volunteers responded to a possible search on Winding Way, Indian Mountain Lakes. Two volunteers completed a sixteen hour Arson Detection for First Responders course hosted at the Monroe County Public Safety Center. Multiple departments from surrounding counties also had individuals in attendance. Two volunteers also begun their “Essentials of Firefighting” course this weekend as well.

Volunteers were dispatched to two incidents simultaneously. Engine 2210, Rescue 2255, and Tanker 2236 responded to a dwelling fire on Down Hill, Lake Harmony. Engine 2216, with District 12, originally responded to a fire alarm Bear Creek Lake Drive but had diverted to the dwelling fire when cancelled. A total of nineteen volunteers responded to the incidents.

Rescue 2255 and Engine 2210 with thirteen volunteers assisted Lehighton ALS on Nathan Way, Towamensing Trails. District 12 also responded.

Engine 2210 responded to an audible fire alarm on Longfellow Circle, Towamensing Trails. District 12 also responded.

Eighteen volunteers completed a sixteen hour Basic Fire Police course this weekend.

Engine 2210, Tanker 2236, and Engine 2216 with sixteen volunteers responded to a smoke investigation on Route 903. District 12 also responded.

Engine 2210 and Tanker 2236 responded to a CO alarm on Frost Lane, Towamensing Trails. District 12 and Pocono Mountain Regional EMS also responded.

Rescue 2255 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 534. The roadway remained closed until PP&L secured the downed wires. District 12 also responded. This was incident #2 for the year as volunteers were dispatched to a fire alarm just before 8 AM.
