Engine 2216, Engine 2210, and Tanker 2236 responded to a reported trash fire on Bear Creek Drive. Engine 2216 found a controlled burn in the area upon arrival. The other units checked the area for any other fires.

Congratulations to firefighters Adam Fritsch and Joseph Hodnik for successfully completing the Essentials of Firefighting program. The Essentials of Firefighting is a 168 hour course that teaches the basics of firefighting.

Engine 2210 responded to a reported dwelling fire on Pocahontas Lane, Mt. Pocahontas. Volunteers arrived to find burned food to blame for the smoke condition from the oven. District 12 and Lehighton ALS also responded.

Rescue 2255 and Engine 2210 responded to an EMS assist on Susquehanna Drive. Volunteers were also dispatched to possible dwelling fire on Drakes Creek Road but a controlled burn was found upon arrival. District 12 and Lehighton ALS also responded to both incidents.

Engine 2210 responded to a possible dwelling fire on Squaw Road, Mt. Pocahontas. Volunteers arrived to find a controlled burn. As a reminder, Penn Forest Township is still under a burn ban at this time.

Utility 2279, Tanker 2236, Engine 2210, and Engine 2216 responded to a brush fire on Patten Circle, Valley View Estates. Utility 2279 arrived to find a working brush fire that was extending into the residence with a burn victim outside.

Engine 2210, Tanker 2236, and Rescue 2255 responded to a dwelling fire on Stone Ridge Road, Stone Ridge Estates. Engine 2210 found smoke showing from the chimney upon arrival. The volunteers found a small fire contained to the chimney after further investigation.

Three volunteers completed the First Responder Emergency Extrication program made possible by the National Auto Body Council earlier today. Firefighters traveled to J.L. Freed Honda to learn the challenges of extrications involving newer model vehicles taught by Municipal Emergency Services.

Engine 1210 (2210), Rescue 1255 (2255), Tanker 1236 (2236), and Command 1277 (2277) responded to a vehicle fire on Stony Mountain Road. Lieutenant 1209 (2205) arrived to find a small fire in the engine compartment which was extinguished with a fire extinguisher.
